Women's Cross Country takes 23rd at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

Grossi leads the way for SFU

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.
– The Saint Francis women's cross country team completed its 2011 season taking 23rd out of 29 teams at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
 
Sarah Grossi (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon McMillan) led the way for the Red Flash with a 96th-place finish in a time of 24:18.4 on the 6-kiolmeter course. Jennifer Haffner finished second for the Flash with a time of 24:31.6, to finish 107th overall. Katie Cianci (Greenville, Pa./Kennedy Catholic) finished third for the Red Flash and 155th overall with a time of 25:32.4.
 
Gloria Robert finished 163rd overall with a time of 25:43.1 and fourth for the Flash. Hannah Reist (Cleona, Pa./Cedar Crest) crossed the line 172nd and rounded out the scoring five for the Flash with a time of 26:10.7. Kylie Jackson (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area) came in six for the Flash with a time of 26:19 and 177th place finish. Feleisha Wright (Philadelphia, Pa./Jules Mastbaum) finished 193rd overall with a time of 28:10.3 to round out SFU's top seven.
