LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 17 2011) – Ryan Zarnich (Rochester, Pa./Rochester Area) of the Saint Francis University football team has accepted invitations to the FCS Senior Scout Bowl.
“It is an honor not just for me but for the program as well,” Zarnich said. “I hope it helps with the exposure of the program and having the chance to play with some of the best players in the FCS in front of NFL scouts is a dream come true. Since I was a kid I always wanted to play football and now I'm getting the chance to play with some of the top guys in the FCS, it is an honor.”
The senior tight end completed his final season with Saint Francis with six catches for 97-yards and a touchdown. Zarnich ranked second on the team in yards per catch averaging 16.2 yards per grab. The native of Rochester, Pa. is known as one of the best blocking tight ends in the Northeast Conference. The senior is also a long snapper for the Red Flash.
The FCS Senior Scout Bowl will be played in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Saturday Dec. 17th at Doug Shaw Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1pm.
