Red Flash Add Seven More To Class of 2011

 LORETTO, Pa. (March 1, 2011) – The Saint Francis football team announced today that it has added seven more players to its recruiting Class of 2011, bringing the total 15 members. The student-athletes will join the Red Flash for summer training camp in August.
 
“This group of players will be a great addition to the strong class we've already brought in,” said Red Flash head coach Chris Villarrial. “They've got great potential and we're excited to have them join us at Saint Francis.”
 
A look at the latest additions:
 
Terrance Bourne
6-1, 290, OL/DL
Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont
 

Bourne comes to the Red Flash from Alexis I. DuPont High School, where he was primarily an offensive and defensive lineman for the Tigers. A three-sport athlete, Bourne competed in football, basketball, and track & field. He was named First-Team All-State as both an offensive and defensive lineman, First-Team All-Conference in 2008 and 2009, and earned Lineman of the Year status.

 
Shane Morris
6-3, 265, OL/DL
Revloc, Pa./Central Cambria
 

Morris makes the short trip to Saint Francis from Central Cambria High School, where he played both offensive and defensive line fro the Red Devils. Morris was a two-sport athlete in high school, earning letters in both football and wrestling. Morris was nominated to the Pennsylvania team at the Big 33 Football Classic in 2010, and was named Altoona Mirror All-Star First-Team lineman in 2009 & 2010, as well as Johnstown Tribune-Democrat All-Area First Team Lineman for those seasons. Son of Susan and Henry Morris, he is currently undecided as to what course of study he will pursue at Saint Francis. He is the cousin of Ben Maderia, a 2009 graduate of Saint Francis who ranks among the school's track & field program's all-time leaders in the Hammer Throw, Shot Put, and Discus.

 
Patrick Paul
5-10, 183, ATH
Port Charlotte, Fla./Port Charlotte (Valley Forge)
 

Paul comes to the Red Flash from Port Charlotte via Valley Forge Military College, and was a standout athlete for both squads. At Port Charlotte, Paul earned letters in football and basketball, earning First-Team Sun-Herald All-Area honors as a wide receiver and cornerback. Paul spent two years at Valley Forge, where he helped lead his team to the 2009 Seaboard Conference championship. Splitting time between quarterback, defensive back, and running back, Paul was named First-Team All-Seaboard Conference at cornerback and First-Team All-Seaboard Conference All-Purpose player. The son of Carrole and Louis Paul, he intends to double-major in Accounting and Finance at Saint Francis.

 
Andrew Redden
6-0, 200, LB/TE
Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area
 

Redden comes to Saint Francis from Clearfield Area, where he was a three-sport athlete for the Bison; he earned letters in football, basketball, and baseball. Redden was part of a pair of District IX championship teams with the Bison, including the 2010 squad that went 13-1. He was a two-time All-Conference linebacker, as well as a First-Team All-Conference tight end. In 2010, he recorded 22 catches for 385 yards and two touchdowns while contributing 53 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception on defense. He was also a 2010 District IX 1st-Team All-Star in baseball, as well as a 2010 Progressland All-Star in baseball. The son of Lisa and Rick Redden, he intends to major in Physical Therapy at Saint Francis.

 
Cody Reimers
6-0, 195, WR/DB
Wilson, N.Y./Wilson Central
 

Reimers comes to the Red Flash from Wilson Central, where he was a two-sport athlete for the Lakemen; he earned three letters each in football and baseball. A two-year team captain at Wilson Central, he earned two All-League honors and was named to the 2010 All-Western NY Academic football team. In 2010 Reimers led the Lakemen in receiving with 31 catches for 534 yards, and was second in tackles with 59 total stops. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was a three-year New York State Scholar-Athlete. The son of Marla and Kevin Reimers, he intends to major in Exercise Physiology at Saint Francis.

 
Zachary Schmidt
5-11, 210, FB/DL
Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin
 

Schmidt comes to Saint Francis from Governor Miffling High School, where he played fullback and defensive line for the Mustangs. A three-sport athlete, Schmidt played football, wrestling, and lacrosse. He was named First-Team All-Berks County running back for the 2009 and 2010 season, as well as Offensive Back of the Year and Berks County Running Back of the Year. In 2010, Schmidt recorded 19 rushing touchdowns; he concluded his career with 3,126 rushing yards. Schmidt also received All-Division honors in wrestling in the 215-pound weight class, and was a three-time First-Team All-Berks County honoree in lacrosse. The son of Lisa and George Schmidt, he intends to major in Business.

 
Delrece Williams
5-11, 185, RB
Homestead, Pa./Steel Valley
 

Williams comes to Saint Francis from Steel Valley High School, where he was a standout running back for the Ironmen. Williams was the WPIAL's leading rusher in 2010, setting a conference record with 2,149 rushing yards in his senior season. Williams scored 37 touchdowns that season, including an astounding eight in a single game against Quaker Valley. He was named First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-State, as well as a high school All-American. Williams was named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 team, as well as the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Terrific 25 team, and played for the North team in the city all-star game. He intends to major in Communications at Saint Francis. The son of Dameda Gray and Darius Williams, Delrece is also the cousin of Red Flash associate head coach A.J. Anderson.
