Hernandez, Reshard join women's basketball staff

LORETTO, Pa. (June 30, 2011) – Saint Francis University head women's basketball coach Susan Robinson Fruchtl has announced the additions of Dario Hernandez and Nathalie Reshard to her coaching staff for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

"I am very excited to welcome Dario and Nathalie to the Red Flash family here at Saint Francis," said Robinson Fruchtl. "They both bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to our program. We are looking forward to the impact they will have on our players this year."

Hernandez arrives in Loretto after spending last season as an assistant women's basketball coach at Division II Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. While at Adelphi, he oversaw the Panthers' recruiting efforts in addition to responsibilities in guard and post development.

Hernandez is a 2009 graduate of Shaw University in Raleigh, N.C. having earned a degree in Recreation. A native of Corona, N.Y., Hernandez worked at Big Apple Basketball in Queens from 2005-10 where he served as a coach, administrative assistant, and an academic coordinator.

"We were able to observe Dario's work ethic on the recruiting aspect last year while he was at Adelphi and we knew we would be getting someone who has some great connections on the east coast," said Robinson Fruchtl. "I was also impressed with his tireless efforts in recruiting players to Adelphi and am looking forward to having him represent the Red Flash."

Reshard brings a mix of coaching, administrative and Division I playing experience to the Red Flash bench. She spent last season on the staff at Northwest Florida State College as a volunteer assistant, helping the Raiders to a 21-6 record and a berth in the state championship game. Previously, she had worked as an operations intern for the Washington Mystics and spent two years as the associate head coach at Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, Fla.

A 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor's Degree in Management, Reshard played two seasons for the Crimson Tide and served as a captain during her season campaign. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Central Florida.

"I am equally thrilled to have Nathalie join us and bring her playing experience at Alabama to help our young and talented post players," said Robinson Fruchtl. "Nathalie is a great communicator and will challenge our posts to really step up their game to be one of the best groups in the NEC."

"Nathalie and Dario are both hungry to contribute and have a major impact. We look forward to a great year!"
