LORETTO, Pa. (Aug. 17, 2011) – The Saint Francis University football held its second scrimmage of the preseason with the defense claiming a 37-24 win against the offense.
The Red Flash held their second inter-squad scrimmage of the preseason with the offense taking on the defense just 14 days away from the season opener against Wagner. Both the offense and the defense made plays on another hot day in Lorreto.
A touchdown pass to
Jeff Wasilewski (Ebensburg, Pa. / Central Cambria) and some solid runs from
Kyle Harbridge (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) highlighted the offenses' performance. The defense saw solid play from Jakob DeMedal and a core of front seven players. Freshman safety
Austin Miele (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area ) turned heads with a couple hard hits and a diving interception.

Saint Francis opens the season Sept. 3 in Staten Island, N.Y. against Northeast Conference rival Wagner.
