LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 16, 2012) – Following a solid opening weekend, senior
Alex Kane (York, Pa./West York) garnered the first edition of Player of the Week honors in 2012 from the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association.
Kane got his senior campaign off to a roaring start this past weekend, collecting 29 kills en route to a .377 attack percentage. The 6-9 opposite also registered seven total blocks and 16 digs in the back-to-back weekend series in Loretto. In Friday night's win over Ball State, Kane racked up an impressive .435 attack percentage as he was one of three Red Flash players to compile double-digit kill figures.
This is the first EIVA Player of the Week award of his career for the York, Pa. native.
