Football Announces 2012 Recruiting Class

The Red Flash add student-athletes for the 2012 season

LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 6, 2012) –
The Saint Francis University football team announced its 2012 recruiting class, Tuesday.
 
Cory Allen – Comes to Saint Francis from Kiski Area High School were he played for head coach Troy Wilson … Allen was a four year letter winner and earned second-team all-conference honors as a junior … Named captain his senior season and earned the team's Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards.

Myles Brooker – A two-way player as wide receiver and defensive back at Germantown High School, where he played under head coach Michael Hawkins ... Finished his career as the all-time leading receiver at Germantown ... The former Bear will likely see most of his time at defensive back for the Flash … looking to major in Physical Therapy … the son of Felicia and Vincent Brooker.
 
Matt Camilletti – A wide receiver from Pius X High School in Bangor, Pa. a four-time first-team all conference selection in the All-American Conference ... Earned second-team all state honors in 2009 and first-team all-state honors in 2010 and 2011 ... He posted 783 receiving yards on 58 catches in his senior season … set school records at Pius for receptions, yards and games started … served as team captain in 2011 and was a two-time academic all-state selection … Was a 2011 Wendy's High School Heisman Award semifinalist in the state of Pennsylvania.

Bryn Kaufman – Comes to Saint Francis from Wilmington Area High School where he played under head coach Terry Verrelli … Named to the Big 22 Hot 100 players in the preseason … Earned first-team All-Region honors in District 3 … The Erie Times News named Kaufman first-team all-district … He recorded 68 tackles as a defensive tackle and posted a 92 percent blocking percentage as an offensive tackle … Earned Wilmington Area's offensive MVP award and was also the lineman of the year.

Blake Monroe – A 5 foot, 10 inch athlete comes to Loretto from North Point High where he played for head coach Ken Lane ... Monroe played running back, wide receiver and defensive back at North Point … Earned a trip to the Maryland Crab Bowl, Maryland's only statewide all-star game.

Charles Showers – A running back and safety in high school and comes to Saint Francis from Great Valley High School and Valley Forge Military Academy, where he played under Mike Choi … Earned seven varsity letters, four in track and field and three in football … district qualifier in the 200-meter dash and helped the 800-meter relay team of the Patriots reach the Pennsylvania State meet.     

Valshawn Wallace – Comes to the Red Flash from Potomac High School in Maryland where he played for head coach Ronald Crump. Wallace is a 6 foot, 4 inch tight end, wideout hybrid, who posted 36 catches for 570 yards as a senior with eight touchdowns … recorded two punt blocks as senior along with 49 tackles and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Nico Zahniser – A 6 foot, 2 inch wide receiver from Greenville Senior High School where he played under head coach Brian Herrick … Stared in three sports earning 11 varsity letters in between football, basketball and track and field … a first-team all-district and first team-team all-state wideout … Set school records in his final season at Greenville for catches (51), receiving yards (897) and touchdown catches (13).
