LORETTO, Pa. (March 15, 2012) – Saint Francis University, Director of the Athletics
Bob Krimmel and head football coach
Chris Villarrial announced the addition of
Brian White to the football staff Monday.
White joins the Red Flash coaching staff as an offensive assistant after spending a season with Lake Erie College as an offensive line coach. Prior to joining the Storm, White spent three seasons on the staff at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas, where he worked as a running backs coach in 2010 and an offensive line coach from 2008-2009. In his final season with Texas Southern, White helped the Tigers to a 9-3 overall record and the Southwestern Athletics Conference title. He also tutored running back Marcus Wright to the school's single-season rushing record.
"It is a pleasure to welcome coach White on to the staff, he is a great high energy high intensity guy," Villarrial said. "Coach Whtie knows what it takes to win at the Championship Subdivision level with a pair of national titles to his credit. He will provide an excellent spark to our team and our program."
Before joining the Tigers, White spent two seasons with Kentucky State University as an offensive line coach and helped two of his student-athletes to all-conference honors. In 2005, White spent a season as an offensive line coach at Lock Haven. Prior to heading to Lock Haven, White spent three seasons at his alma mater Youngstown State. As a coach with the Penguins, White worked with the tight ends and helped Michael Roberts to All-American honors.
White played for Youngstown State from 1989-1993 and was a member of two national championship squads under former head coach Jim Tressel.
