LORETTO, Pa. (April 26, 2012) –Nicholas Bancroft of the Saint Francis University men's volleyball team, was next in line to receive honors this week from the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association after being selected to its All-Academic team.
In order to be selected for the All-Academic squad, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, must have participated in at least 60 percent of games played by their team and must not be a freshman.
Bancroft, a Health Science (PT) major, was one of 10 to earn the selection after compiling an impressive 3.52 GPA as a three-year member of the men's volleyball team. As the team's starting libero, the Centerville, Pa. native finished his junior season with a team-best 163 digs and 42 assists in 25 total matches played. His 1.92 digs per set average ranked him seventh in the EIVA this year.
