LORETTO, Pa. (July 20, 2012) –Saint Francis men and women's head tennis coach Paul Tobin has announced the fall 2012-13 schedule.

The Red Flash kicks off their season at the Bucknell Invitational on September 8-9 in Lewisburg, Pa.  Next, the squads head to the US Open College Invitational to face off against some of the best teams in the northeast.  The men compete from September 21-23 while the women compete from October 6-8. The program continues its tournament run with matches at the Buffalo Invitational on September 21-23 followed by the Lehigh Invitational on October 12-13.

“I am very excited to have put together a strong fall tournament schedule,” said Tobin. “Early tournaments will help work out the kinks and provide some of the freshman and returning players a chance to see how their summer conditioning paid off.”

For the first time in SFU history, four players from each squad will be going to the ITA regionals. The men will play at Yale University while the women will play at Army from October 19-23. The semi-final winners of the ITA regionals will compete in the ITA National Tournament located at the USTA Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows in December 2012.

Both the men and women's teams are coming off of fifth place finishes in the NEC last season after strong showings at the conference tournament.
