LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 10, 2012) – Khairi Dickson (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) and
Grant Price (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) of the Saint Francis University football team earned National Honorable Mention Performer of the Week honors at their respective positions from the College Football Performance Awards.
Dickson rushed for 148 yards on the ground for the Red Flash in just the second game of his college career while also picking up the first touchdown of his young career. The freshman outshined preseason all-conference and 2011 All-American Jordan Brown on the other side of the ball by rushing for more yards and for a better average. After two weeks of play, Dickson ranks second in the NEC in rushing and sits tied for 23rd nationally.
Price continues his excellent start with four punts Saturday that landed inside the Bryant 20 while the sophomore also booted his five punts for a 41.8 yard average with a long of 47 yards. Price continues to lead the Northeast Conference in yards per punt and sits in the top 16 nationally.
The Red Flash return to action this week as they travel to Morehead, Ky. for a non-conference showdown with the Eagles of Morehead State.
