NEW ORLEANS, La. (Feb. 26, 2013) – The Saint Francis U men's and women's cross country squads were named All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country (USTFCCA).
The SFU women's cross country team posted a GPA of 3.42, while the men's team posted a 3.32. A total of 145 institutions represent 30 conferences that compose the group on the men's side. The Big East Conference had the most squads make the list with nine. The Big Ten followed with eight.
A total of 200 institutions represent 30 conferences that compose the group on the women's side. Among conferences, the Big East had the most squads make the list with 12. The Big Ten and Conference USA followed with 11.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
