CHARLOTTE, N.C. – College Football Performance Awards, the largest awards organization in Division I college football, recently announced its watch list for the 2013 CFPA FCS Running Back Award, and Saint Francis University running back
Kyle Harbridge (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) earned a spot on the list. The preliminary watch list highlights thirty-three returning performers, vying for the top individual running back honor in the Football Championship Subdivision.
“Congratulations to Kyle on earning a spot on the 2013 CFPA Watch List,” stated CFPA Executive Director Brad Smith. “Entering his redshirt senior season, Harbridge has already produced some of the top individual rushing performances in college football history.”
Harbridge earned CFPA FCS National Performer of the Week honors on September 19, 2011 when he contributed 457 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns in a win over Morehead State. Currently the second-leading rusher in SFU history with 2,507 career yards, the Easton, Pa. product missed the 2012 campaign while recovering from a preseason knee injury.
The redshirt senior made his return to the gridiron in April 6's Red/White Scrimmage and is expected to make his regular season return on Sept. 7 when the Red Flash visits Georgia Southern.
All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration.
The full list of 2013 recipients, including the 2013 CFPA FCS Awards, will be announced on January 8, 2014.
