UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - The Saint Francis men's and women's cross country teams traveled to the Penn State open on Saturday afternoon. In their last meeting before the NEC Championship, the Women finished in 2
nd place in the 6k, while the Men finished 3rd in the 5.2m.
Women's ResultsThe Red Flash women finished with 54 points, which was good for 2nd in the 6k. Saint Francis had an average time of 23:05.
Morgan Kiebler (Export, Pa./Kiski Area) lead the way for SFU finishing in second place with a time of 22:30.
Danae Peters (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) (22:39) and Angela Barber (22:47) rounding out the top ten for SFU. Junior
Madeline Berry (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) finished 19
th in 23:36, while Junior
Madison Fiaschetti (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) crossed the finish line in 23:50, which was good for 21
st. Two positions later, Sophomore
Sarah Kutz (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) finished in 23
rd in 24:02, and Freshman
Hannah Weber (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) finished 25
th in 24:11.
Penn State won the event with 37 points.

rd in the 5.2m with 74 points. The Red Flash finished with an average time of 27:44. Sophomore
Bryce England (Williamsburg, Pa./Williamsburg, Pa.) led the pack with a 4
th place finish in 26:42. In 8

Zachery Salek (Oakdale, Pa./West Allegheny) finished in 27:22. Only one second separated Juniors Shuan Allen and
Gordon Phipps III (Oil City, Pa./Oil City), while finishing 19
th and 20
th. Sophomore
Thomas Somerville (Perth, Ontatio, Canada/Perth and District Collegiate Institute) (23
rd), Freshman Zachary White (24rd) and Senior
Kyle Penney (Newmarket, Ontario, Canada/Sacred Heart Catholic) (26
th) had strong finishes for the Red Flash.
Youngstown State took home the win with 30 points.
