LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Saint Francis Red Flash women's track and field team kicked off the 2015-16 indoor campaign at the Bucknell Bison Opener on Saturday at Bucknell University.

Taylor Thurnherr placed second in pole vault with a final of 3.45 m.
Alyssa Sniechoski (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) and Grace Baldessaro tied for fifth place with a vaulted of 3.15m.

Alyiah Hilton (Freeport, Bahamas/Bishop Michael Eldon School) finished in fourth place in the 500-meter with a time of 1:19.32, while teammate
Acacia Urian (Waymart, Pa./Western Wayne) finished eighth overall with 1.22.51.

In the women's triple jump, SFU placed two in the top ten.
Jade Canak (China, Maine/Erskine Academy) finished with a jump of 10.82m, while Shayla Rivers finished tied for ninth with a 10.27m jump. In the 800-meter run, Canak finished with a time of 2:47.95 – good enough for a seventh place finish. Canak finished tied for second in the long jump with a jump of 5.08m.  Â

Jordan Collins (Bayport, N.Y./Bluepoint) earned a fourth place finish in the women's shot with a 12.36m mark. Selena Damino rounded out the top ten with an 11.15m throw. Collins claimed a second place finish in the women's weight marking a throw of 17.04mE.
