LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis football team welcomes Central Connecticut State to DeGol Field this Saturday for the home finale and Senior Day.  The Red Flash and the Blue Devils will kickoff at Noon, with the game broadcasted on ESPN3/WatchESPN, with Paul Dottino (Play-By-Play), Kevin Gilbride (Color) and John Schmeelk (Sideline) on the call.
 
Saint Francis is 4-0 in conference play, coming off a bye week after earning a 38-17 win at Sacred Heart on October 29.  CCSU is 2-7 overall and 1-3 in conference play after a 37-35 win over SHU last week.
 
With a win on Saturday, Saint Francis could clinch at least a share of its first ever NEC title as well as an FCS Playoffs Bid, also a first in program history.
 
Head Coach Pete Rossomando is in his third season leading the Blue Devils, with a 9-23 record at CCSU.  He is 50-36 overall in eight years of coaching.
 
The Blue Devils picked up its first NEC win of the season is last week's victory at Sacred Heart.  Kicker Ed Groth hit a 35-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining to seal the win.  CCSU totaled 442 yards on the day, with 328 passing and 114 rushing.  Quarterback Jacob Dolegala competed 25-of-43 passes, while throwing a 37-yard touchdown and running for a four-yard score.  Running back Cameron Nash ran for 78 yards on 24 carries, including a two-yard touchdown run, and caught three passes for 38 yards.  Joey Fields caught eight passes for 122 yards, including a 37-yard touchdown catch, while Jose Garcia added 63 yards on five receptions.  Groth hit three field goals on the day.
 
Central Connecticut State allowed 442 total yards, including 263 through the air and 179 on the ground.  CCSU forced two turnovers, with a pick and a fumble recovery, and four tackles for loss and a sack.  Linebacker Kenneth Keen led the team with 10 tackles, including three solo and one for loss, while fellow linebacker Randall Laguerre had nine stops and a fumble recovery.  Safety Tymir Hinton added eight stops, two pass breakups and an 11-yard pick-six, while "R" linebacker Lance Ormsby had four tackles and a sack.
 
The CCSU offense averages 22.8 points per game, ranking sixth in the NEC, and 349.8 total yards per contest, good for fifth in the conference.  The Blue Devils lead the league, averaging 258.9 passing yards per game, and rank fifth in rushing offense, averaging 90.9 yards per game. 
 
Sophomore quarterback Jacob Dolegala leads the NEC, and ranks 14th in the FCS, with 2,325 yards.  He also leads the league with a completion percentage of 60%.  He has thrown 11 touchdown passes and nine interceptions.  Dolegala also has four rushing touchdowns.
 
In the backfield, junior Cameron Nash, a five-foot-seven, 185-pound back, leads the team with 551 yards on 136 carries, for an average of 4.1 yards per carry, and four touchdowns.  Nash also has 34 catches for 248 yards.  Redshirt freshman Drew Jean-Gullaume, 5-foot-11, 205 pounds, also sees time in the backfield with 25 carries for 95 yards and eight catches for 55 yards and a score.
 
Junior Joey Fields leads the receivers group with 36 catches on the year.  The five-foot-eight Fields ranks sixth in the NEC, with 523 receiving yards and has four touchdowns.  Senior Dan Hebert, five-foot-nine, has 23 receptions for 225 yards, while sophomore Alex Jamele, six-foot, has 21 catches for 228 yards and a touchdown.  Five-foot-ten sophomore Jose Garcia has 227 yards and two touchdowns on 20 catches.  Sophomore tight end K.J. Smith, six-foot-three, has 32 catches for 417 yards and three touchdowns.
 
The Blue Devils offensive line features two seniors, a junior, a redshirt freshman and a true freshman.  Senior right guard Paul Spada and senior right tackle Shane McQuillan have started all nine games this season, while junior center Darrick Orange has eight starts.  Freshman left guard J'Von Brown has six starts and redshirt freshman left tackle Dusan Etienne has five starts.
 
The Central Connecticut State defense, a hybrid 3-3-5 system, is allowing 33.3 points and 401.1 total yards per game, ranking seventh in the NEC in both categories.  CCSU is also seventh in passing defense, giving up 248.1 yards, and rushing defense, allowing 153.0 yards per game.  CCSU has forced 16 turnovers, including nine fumble recoveries, and has 15 sacks on the year.
 
Senior end Asia Bolling leads the defensive line unit.  Bolling is sixth on the team, and first among defensive linemen, with 36 tackles, including 14 solo, 4.5 for loss and a sack.  Junior defensive tackle Chad Woodine has 30 stops, with 10 solo, two for loss, and two forced fumbles, while sophomore nose tackle Chris Tinkham has 25 tackles, with eight solo, five for loss and 1.5 sacks.  Sophomore Brandon Puritt also sees time on the line and has four tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks this season.
 
The linebacker unit features junior "B" linebacker Randall Laguerre, who leads the NEC and ranks 15th in the FCS, with 91 tackles this season.  Laguerre has 33 solo stops, five tackles for loss, two sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception.  He has posted double-digit tackles in four games this year.  Sophomore middle linebacker Kenneth Keen is second on the team with 66 tackles, including 27 solo, 9.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks.  Senior outside linebacker Keir Minor has 35 stops, with 15 solo, three for loss and 1.5 sacks.  At the "R" position, a hybrid linebacker-safety position, senior Lance Ormsby has 17 tackles, with three for loss, while Jamel Jimerson also sees time at that spot, with 28 tackles and a forced fumble.
 
The secondary is led by sophomore free safety Tymir Hinton.  The second year player has 53 tackles this year, with 33 solo and 1.5 for loss.  He also has three pass breakups and three interceptions, including two interceptions he has returned for touchdowns.  Junior strong safety Jarrod Cann is fourth on the team with 46 tackles, including 21 solo, and has a fumble recovery to go with three pass breakups.  Cornerback Carlton Nash, a senior, has 44 tackles, with two for loss, eight pass breakups, a forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and an interception.  At the opposite corner is junior Andre Morris, who has 19 tackles and four pass breakups.  Corner Darryn Horner also sees playing time, with 31 tackles and two breakups.
 
Kicker Ed Groth has hit 10-of-13 attempts this year, with a long of 43.  He is also 21-for-21 on extra point attempts.  Groth splits the punting duties with freshman Brandon Desautels.  Groth averages 38.8 yards per punt, while Desautels averages 36.3.  Freshman Tajik Bagley averages 25.6 yards per kick return, but Fields and Jean-Guillaume are also in the rotation on kick return, averaging 28.2 and 14.9 yards per return, respectively.  Cameron Nash handles the punt return duties. 
 
Saint Francis trails the all-time series 19-4, but won last year's game, 22-13, at CCSU.  That was SFU's first road win in the series.  SFU kicker Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) set a school and NEC record with five field goals in last year's win, while Khairi Dickson (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) added a two-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.  The SFU defense had six sacks in that game, with two by nose tackle Wesley Nagaseu (Waipahu, Hawaii/Waipahu).
