NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Saint Francis women's track and field team earned a seventh place finish at the two-day Northeast Conference Outdoor Championship.
Saint Francis scored a total of 66 points, while Sacred Heart took home the overall team championship with 183 points.
Alyiah Hilton (Freeport, Bahamas/Bishop Michael Eldon School) scored a point for the Flash, claiming eighth in the 400m dash. Hilton crossed the finish line in 57.96s.
Hannah Weber (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) took third in the 1,500m run with a time of 4:50.87.
Hannah Dorian (Johnstown, Pa. /Westmont Hilltop) recorded a sixth place finish in the 1500m run. Dorian clocked in at 4:52.98.
Danae Peters (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) landed a fourth place finish in the 5,000m run with a time of 18:09.76. Peters posted a 37:58.36 in the 10,000m run claiming a fifth place finish.
Morgan Kiebler (Export, Pa. /Kiski) notched a seventh place finish in the 10,000m run with a time of 38:15.79.
In the 400m hurdles,
Shayla Rivers (Sicklerville, N.J./Winslow Township) scored two points for SFU with a seventh place performance. Rivers crossed the finish line in 1:07.28. Rivers took seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 10.69m.
Danielle DiCello (Cecil, Pa./Canon McMillan) finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase. DiCello marked an 11:18.87.
The women's 4x800m relay team placed fifth. The relay team made up of Dorian, DiCello, Elizabeth Scaffner and Weber ran a 9:34.00.
Nicole Egan (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) cleared 1.45m in the high jump, which was good for an eighth place finish.
Alyssa Sniechoski (Oxford, Pa./Oxford Area) and
Grace Baldessaro (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) placed fourth and seventh in the pole vault. Sniechoski cleared 3.45m, while Baldessaro vaulted 3.25m.
In the shot put,
Jordan Collins (Bayport, N.Y./Bluepoint) took fourth with a toss of 13.03m. Collins recorded a second place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 42.48m. Collins also took third in the hammer throw with a mark of 49.04m.
Sara Phelan (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg)) notched a third place finish in the javelin with a mark of 40.71m.
Next up for Saint Francis is ECAC Championships starting on Friday.
