LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball won its second game in a row with a 71-70 overtime victory over Stonehill. This marked the first time Saint Francis won back-to-back games this season.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis and Stonehill were back-and-forth for the first seven minutes of the game before a 7-1 run by the Skyhawks opened a 17-10 lead. Saint Francis narrowly cut the deficit to 19-14 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, Saint Francis was within one point, 23-22, with 4:15 remaining before Stonehill took a 32-26 lead into the half.
A 15-7 run for the Red Flash across the first 6:30 of the third quarter saw Saint Francis take a 41-39 lead. The score remained at most a three-point differential before Saint Francis had a 48-47 lead after three quarters. Stonehill produced a 10-2 run to start the fourth quarter and opened a 57-50 lead with 6:45 remaining in the game. Saint Francis narrowly cut the deficit to a four-point game, 66-62, with one minute remaining before two Turner free throws and a
Destini Ward layup in the final minute sent the game to overtime tied at 66.
In overtime, free throws accounted for the first five points scored and gave Stonehill a 69-68 edge with under three minutes remaining. Goula converted a layup with 2:34 remaining and gave the Red Flash a 70-69 lead. A Goula free throw with 18 second remaining gave Saint Francis a two-point, 71-69 lead before Stonehill's Sharn Hayward converted one free throw and cut the deficit to one point with six seconds remaining. The Skyhawks grabbed the rebounds on the missed free throw but missed a three-point attempt before Saint Francis sealed its 71-70 overtime victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Moore's double-double was her fourth of the season and first since Jan. 8 at Central Connecticut – a six-game span. Her 18 points tied a career-high previously set three games prior at St. Francis Brooklyn. With 13 rebounds, Moore recorded her eighth double-digit rebounding game of the season.
Turner's 18 points broke her previous career-high of 12 set on Jan. 8 at Central Connecticut. Her rebounds broke a previous career-high of six set on Jan. 2 at Wagner and her assists tied a career-high set on Dec. 20 at Tulane.
Goula remains tied with Moore for the team-lead in double-digit scoring performances with eight. Tonight's 12 points were her most since she scored a career-high 13 at Stonehill on Jan. 6.
