FLASH QUOTES
"It's always a good day when you make history. This team has been amazing to work with since day one. That might sound like a gratuitous comment but we all know there's a lot of hard work behind winning. It doesn't just magically happen. The difference is this group has been receptive to being pushed to execute at a higher level. They have learned how to respond to challenges with confidence. In all honesty, this is one of the best group of athletes I have ever worked with in my entire career. To share this milestone with such a special group of women is an accomplishment I will always treasure. I did say to them after the game, we're not done yet. We're excited to play on Saturday and see what we can do. There are still goals left to accomplish."
- head coach Tracy Coyne on the game
"All season we have worked really hard for this and we put all of our effort into it. It's been one of our goals for a really hard time so it's really nice to be able to get it and we are looking forward to breaking more records and achieving more of our goals."Â
– senior Lizzie Fisher on breaking the program record for wins in a season
Â
"I would not be able to do it without my team. They have supported me and had my back this whole time. Being out there on the field and doing it with my teammates is the best thing ever the most fun ever. It's kind of unreal."Â
– Lizzie Fisher on returning from injury
Â
"We have to start out strong and don't underestimate the opponent and make sure that we get the win."Â
– Lizzie Fisher on the next game

Prior to that season, the 2018 team that 7-10 overall and 3-4 in league play held both standards. The squad had six three-game winning streaks in program history, including one this season before winning its fourth in a row with its win on Wednesday.
