SOMERSET, N.J. – Saint Francis men's soccer midfielder Joschi Schelb has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.
 
Schelb picked up his first accolade of his collegiate career after scoring the match leveler against Wright State in the 50th minute on Saturday. The goal was Schelb's first of the season.
 
The Freiburg, Germany native also assisted the first two goals against the Raiders in the 3-3 draw to collect four points on the match. Schelb leads the NEC in assists with three. The freshman's first assist of season came from Andre Isreal's match winner in the Red Flash's 2-1 season opening victory over Canisius.
 
Schelb also earned a Prime Performer nod.
 
The Red Flash are 1-0-2 on the season and look to keep their unbeaten streak alive during their three-match home stand starting with Robert Morris Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
