Women's tennis drops decision to Bucknell

South Williamsport, Pa. – Saint Francis women's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to Bucknell on Sunday at the Central PA Tennis Center.

In No. 1 singles, Bucknell's Daniela Bellini defeated Lucia Seigford (Madrid, Spain/Mirasur), 6-2, 6-4. The Red Flash's Laura Gutierrez (Bogota, Colombia/Cibercolegio UCN) lost at No. 2 to Dax Seidlin, 6-2, 6-2. The Bison's Paige Leavy knocked off Anouk Ma-Ajong (Paramaribo, Suriname/Sagemont) at No. 3, 7-6, 6-4.

In No. 4 singles, SFU's Romina Cutipa (Huancayo, Peru/San Juan Bosco) fell to Sofia Ayuso, 6-3, 6-4. The Red Flash's Camryn Rossa (Charleston, SC/Oceanside Collegiate) won at No. 5 over Jill Auteri, 6-1, 7-5. Saint Francis lost No. 6 by default.

In No. 1 doubles, Leavy and Seidlin took down Seigford and Gutierrez, 6-4. Cutipa and Rossa picked up a victory at No. 2 over Ayuso and Bellin, 6-3. The Bison won at No. 3 by default to secure the doubles point.

Saint Francis returns to action at Mercyhurst on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.
