Saint Francis University had five student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Men's At-Large team, announced on Tuesday. Men's volleyball's

Andrew Deardorff (Itasca, Ill./Lake Park),
Brandon Dunz (Lake View, N.Y./Frontier) and
Blake Liprando (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and from men's golf
Nathan Godbout (St. George, Vt./Champlain Valley Union) have been named to the CSC All-District Team and will move onto the national ballot.Â

Blain, a 6-2 junior libero, appeared in 26 matches and 93 sets in 2023 and tallied 122 digs and 23 assists on the season. Blain has 243 digs and 35 assists in his career. The junior is the Northeast Conference (NEC) Co-Chair of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was awarded the Mikey's Heart and Hustle Scholarship Award at the Saint Francis Athletics Award Banquet on May 1. Accounting and business analytics double major, Blain boasts a 3.96 grade-point average.Â

Deardorff, a 6-5 sophomore outside hitter, played in 25 matches and 75 sets with 223 kills, 69 digs, 17 service aces and 28 total blocks. The sophomore was named to the All-NEC second team in 2023. He registered 20 kills in both matches against Daemen this season, including a career-high 23 kills on April 15. For his career, Deardorff has 363 kills, 203 digs, 33 service aces and 63 total blocks. An accounting and finance major, Deardorff holds a 3.57 grade-point average.Â

Dunz, a 6-8 senior middle blocker, appeared in 25 matches and 81 sets with 104 kills, 50 digs and 80 blocks. He was named to the All-NEC second team and was the NEC Defensive Player of the Week four times in his senior campaign. Dunz, who registered a career-best seven blocks three times in 2023, wrapped up his career with 196 kills, 150 blocks, and 78 digs. Majoring in petroleum and natural gas engineering, Dunz graduated with a 3.568 grade-point average.Â

Liprando, a 6-3 outside hitter, appeared in 26 matches and 91 sets with a team-best 256 kills along with 25 service aces, 124 digs and 24 total blocks. The senior was named to the All-NEC second team, to the NEC All-Tournament team and received the Eugene and Rosemary Turano Award at the Saint Francis Athletics Award Banquet. He finished his career with 793 kills, 97 service aces, 439 digs and 74 total blocks. A finance and accounting major, Liprando boasts a 3.69 grade-point average.Â

Godbout, a junior, averaged 77.4 strokes per round in 28 rounds in 2022-23. The junior notched his best finish of the season at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational after carding a three-round score of 220 and finishing the tournament 26th overall. Godbout improved his finish at the NEC Championships in 2023 by two spots with a 24-place finish and a score of 228 that included finishing the final two rounds four-over par. A finance major, the junior has a 3.98 grade-point average. Â

To be eligible for CSC All-District, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 grade-point average and participate in 50 percent of scheduled events. The student-athletes named to the CSC All-District advance to the national ballot for a chance to be named a CSC Academic All-America, which will be released on Wednesday, June 21. Â
