Women’s Basketball Drops Think Pink Game to FDU


LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball fell in its Think Pink Game 68-48 to FDU. Saint Francis recognized breast cancer survivors and those still fighting during pregame player introductions.
 
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
» Kendall Carruthers had a team-high 15 points on 5-of-11 shotting and went 3-of-5 from three-point territory.
» Harris Robinson tied a game-high with seven rebounds and added four points.
» Kameryn Dorsey recorded six points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals.
» FDU's Staci Williams had a game-high 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Saint Francis and FDU were tied at seven points with 3:59 remaining in the first quarter before the Knights ended on a 7-0 run and took a 14-7 lead. IFDU led 22-13 with 4:28 remaining in the first half and went on a 16-0 run and took a 38-13 lead into halftime.
 
FDU and Saint Francis traded baskets nearly the entire third quarter in a 17-17 tie during the frame that led to a 55-30 FDU lead after three. Saint Francis started the fourth quarter on an 8-4 advantage and took an 18-13 advantage in the frame before FDU clinched its 68-48 victory.

FLASH NUGGETS
Carruthers recorded her 12th game with at least 15 points this season and raised her season average to 13.9 per game.
 
Dorsey had her sixth game of the season with at least five assists. She raised her season average to a team-high 3.2 assists per game, despite averaging the sixth-highest minutes per game (23.2).

Saint Francis is set to host Merrimack on Thursday, Feb. 22 for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
