LORETTO, Pa. (April 11, 2012) – The Saint Francis University football team announced its second wave of football signees, Wednesday.
The Red Flash added to their 2012 freshmen class Wednesday adding 15 more bringing the class of 2012 to a total of 23 student-athletes. Cory Allen, Myles Brooker, Matt Camilletti, Bryn Kaufman, Blake Monroe, Charles Showers, Valshawn Wallace and Nico Zahniser were announced back in February.

Gage Clark - QB/RB/DB - 6-3 - 205 - Highlands
A native of Natrona Heights comes off a senior season in which he helped the Highlands Golden Rams to a 7-3 record under head coach Sam Albert. In his final campaign with the Golden Rams the senior rushed for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Clark also threw for 854 yards and an additional seven scorers. |

Quinten Cooper - RB/LB - 6-0 - 194 - Hughesville
A linebacker, running back hybrid comes to Saint Francis from Hughsville High School where he helped the Spartans to a 4-1-league record in his senior season. The 6-0, 194 pound Pa. native amassed 674 rushing yards and seven total touchdowns his senior season after a slow start to his final high school campaign. Cooper's senior season was highlight by a 131-yard performance against Loyalsock Township in which he rushed for three touchdowns. In seven games at outside linebacker Cooper tallied 22 total tackles for the Spartans with 15 solo stops. |

Khairi Dickson - RB/DB - 6-0 - 180 - Cleveland Central Catholic
Joins the Red Flash football family from Cleveland Central Catholic high school, where he played running back, linebacker and safety. In his senior season, Dickson racked up 1,239 yards on the ground while also posting 167 receiving yards and 45 total tackles. Dickson averaged 137.7 yards a game for Central Catholic a season ago and 8.3 yard per rush while posting 16 total touchdowns. Dickson ran wild his senior season with eight games of 100 rushing yards or more. His senior season was highlighted by a 264 yard rushing outburst against Holy Name in which he also tallied five total touchdowns.

Frank Failace - TE - 6-2 - 225 - Don Bosco Prep
Comes to Loretto from Wayne, N.J., where he played for the historic Don Bosco Prep and head coach Greg Toal. Failace played two seasons as a quarterback before moving to his current position of tight end. During his time at Don Bosco Prep, the Ironmen went 47-0 winning four state titles and two national high school titles. In his senior season, Failace helped the Ironmen to New Jersey state title and to a final ranking of third nationally. Failace, a 6-2 225 pound blocking specialist, earned first-team All-Bergen County, first-team all suburban and first-team All Big North Conference in his senior season with the Ironmen.

Abu Fofanah - OL/DL - 6-3 - 230 - Westminster
Played both offensive and defensive line for the Westminster Owls this past season and helped them and head coach Brad Wilson to a 9-1 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in league play. The 6-3, 230 pound lineman saw action at all of the defensive line positions but settled in at defensive end. Fofanah earned second-team All-Chesapeake Conference honors his senior season.

Curtis Gibson - LB - 6-0 - 210 - North Point
A linebacker from the North Point high school in Maryland where he played for head coach Ken Lane and helped the Eagles to a 10-2 record in his final season. Gibson racked up 78 tackles, 16 sacks, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two pass deflections and an interception in his senior campaign with the Eagles. He was named his school's defensive lineman of the year and chosen as a second-team all-conference performer. Earned a spot on the Southern Maryland Athletics Conference roster for the Chick-Fil-A-Challenge All-Star game. Gibson also played point guard on the Eagles basketball squad, in his time with the Eagles Gibson earned varsity letters in three different sports.

Ricky Jordan - RB/CB - 5-11 -170- Linsly
Joins the Red Flash after completing an undefeated season with the Linsly Cadets. Jordan was a two-way player for head coach BJ Depew and helped the Cadets finish a perfect 10-0. In addition to his football skills, Jordan is also one of the top sprinters in the state of West Virginia. Jordan posted a meet record at the Tri-State Track Coaches Association Indoor Championships in the 60-meter dash with a mark of 6.93, a time that would rank as the second fastest in school history at Saint Francis. The mark was the fastest indoor time in the 60m in the state of West Virginia this past season.

Devin Moyer - ATH - 6-1 - 185 - Northwood
A native of Sliver Spring, Md. comes to the Red Flash after completing his final season at Northwood High School where he played for head coach Dennis Harris. The 6-1, 185 pound defensive back/athlete also played quarterback and tight end in his time with the Gladiators while off the football field, he also saw time with the basketball and track and field programs. Rivals.com named Moyer one of the Top 15 cornerbacks in the state of Maryland. His senior season, Moyer earned All-Montogmery County, 3A first-team honors in addition to all-conference honors. Following his senior season, Moyer earned an invite to the Crab Bowl, an all-star game in the state of Maryland that features its top high school talent.

Ter Shaudney "Gator" Phillips - 5-11 - 170 - Deland
Comes to Loretto from Deland High School in Florida, where he played for head coach Ryan Smith. Phillips is a 5-11, 170 pound defensive back, wide receiver hybrid, who excelled on the defensive side of the ball in his senior season posting 47 tackles, four interceptions, a forced fumble and a team leading three defensive touchdowns. The signature play of Phillips' senior season came early in the campaign when he returned an interception 96 yards for a touchdown to lead Deland to a 10-7 win against New Smyrna Beach. Phillips is not the only Deland product headed to the Northeast Conference as three of his teammate signed with Robert Morris earlier in the spring.

Myles Pressey - 5-8 - 185 - Holy Cross (HS)
A 5-8, 185 pound running back linebacker two-way player spent his senior season helping the Holy Cross Lancers and head coach Frank Holmes to a 7-4 overall record. Pressey raced his way to all-conference honors his senior season with 1,300 yards on the ground while also racking up 14 total touchdowns. Rivals.com ranks the Lumberton, N.J. native as the sixth-best running back in the state of New Jersey.

Capri Thompson - QB/DB - 6-2 - 190 - Clairton
Stands as one of two Clairton High School recruits joining the Red Flash for the 2012 season. Thompson, 6-2 190 pounds, passed for 118.5 yards a game his senior season for Clairton and led the Bears to a perfect 16-0 record and the PIAA Class A football state title. Thompson never lost a start in his high school career and leaves Clairton with one of the longest high school winning streaks in the nation at 47 games. In the PIAA Class A state title game, Thompson completed just four passes but wtih 165 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Joey Vodopivec - RB/LB - 6-0 - 175 - Penns Manor
Makes the short hour drive southeast to Loretto to join the Red Flash from Penns Manor HIgh School where he helped the Comets and head coach Bill Packer to a 12-2 overall record. Vodopivec rushed for 1,061 yards in his senior season with 11 touchdowns on the ground. He led the Comets to the district title and the state semifinal. In his senior campaign, Vodopivec rushed for over 100-yards five times including turning heads by posting 176-yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries against Columbia Dec. 2. The senior was also a receiving threat out of the backfield with 29 total catches, 363 yards and seven touchdowns in his final season with the Comets. Vodopivec also recorded excellent defensive numbers from his inside linebacker position with 102 tackles, two sacks and a pair of interceptions in 2011. |

Erik Walker - LB/OL - 6-3 - 245 - Clairton
Joins the Red Flash from Clairton High School where he was an offensive and defensive lineman for the Bears and head coach Tom Nola. Walker helped Clairton to a 16-0 record making the Bears the seventh ranked team in the state of Pennsylvania according to one website. Walker, 6-3 245 pounds, earned first team all-state honors his senior season as the Bears continued one of the nation's longest high school winning streak at 47 games. Walker helped lead the Clairton defense to nine shutouts including six in a row; for the season the Bears defense gave up just 78 points. |

John Watson – OL/DL - 6-3 - 283 - Calvary Christian Academy
An offensive defensive lineman hybrid, Watson help Calvary Christian Academy and head coach Mike Reichenbach to an 8-3 record in his senior season. Watson ranked 13th in the Bicentennial Conference in tackles racking up 52 in his senior season for a 5.8 per game average. The 6-3, 283 pound lineman registered 36 solo stops, two sacks, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble. Watson posted a season-high nine tackles against New Hope-Solebury helping the Cougars to their fourth shutout of the season. |

Kalil Wynn - WR/DB - 6-2 - 190- J.P. Stevens
Played on both sides of the ball for the J.P. Stevens Hawks as a wide receiver and defensive back for head coach Mike Ryan. Wynn totaled 221 yards from his receiver position as a senior on 18 catches for a 12.28 yards per catch average. Wynn posted a season high 51 receiving yards twice first against Woodbridge in the season opener and again against Piscataway. In his final season with the Hawks, he totaled 31 tackles including a season high eight against Marlboro. Wynn also posted one interceptions and three total pass deflections.
