Game Notes | Live Stats | Live Video

Loretto, Pa. –
Saint Francis concludes non-conference play vs. Lehigh on Thursday night. With a win, the Red Flash would post a winning record in non-conference play for just the third time in the last 14 seasons.

Scouting Lehigh

Lehigh, a team that won 20 games and made it to the Patriot League Championship in 2016-17, is 5-5 to open the 2017-18 season. The Mountain Hawks have replaced its top two scorers from last year admirably, averaging 76.4 points per game. Lance Tejada leads the team in scoring at 15.3 ppg, while Kahron Ross (13.7 ppg) and Kyle Leufroy (10.7 ppg) also average in double figures. Lehigh defeated NEC-member Mount St. Mary's 75-60 in its last game. We will see if the Mountain Hawks show any signs of rust as it will be 12 games between its last game come Thursday. The Mountain Hawks are 5-2 when scoring 70 points and 0-3 when held under 70.

Series History

Lehigh leads the series 10-4. Head coach Rob Krimmel is just 1-4 all-time vs. the Mountain Hawks as they hung 100 points on the Red Flash in last year's meeting, a 100-67 victory.

HIGH RPI

Saint Francis's difficult non-conference schedule can be reflected in its high RPI ranking. The Red Flash entered the week ranked 145 of 351 Division I schools, the second highest mark of any NEC team. Wagner was ranked 53 at the start of the week.

KENPOM RANKINGS

The highly respected KenPom rannkigs also support the evidence that Saint Francis has played one of the toughest schedules among mid-majors. According to KenPom, Saint Francis has played the 38th toughest schedule in the nation through its first 10 games. The Red Flash has been tested against some of the most efficient offenses in the country as its opponents have a combined efficiency of 16 among all schedules across the country.

OFFENSIVE OUTBURST

The Red Flash offense isn't too shabby in its own right. The Red Flash lead the NEC in scoring offense by a wide margin at 83.8 ppg. Saint Francis scored 113 points vs. Bethany on Monday, the third highest output since the 1970-71 season.

MONEY MEREDITH

Junior Scott Meredith (Pilot Mountain, N.C./Hargrave Military Academy (Va.)) has shaken off some of his early shooting woes in a big way. After starting the season 3-for-20 from three point range (15.0%), the sharpshooter from North Carolina has proceeded to knock down 11 of his last 15 triples over his last four contests and is shooting 40% from three on the season. He was especially sharp in SFU's last outing vs. Bethany, making 7-of-8 threes for a career-high 21 points in just 10 minutes.
